Two main methods are used to dissolve the geochemical materials: Aqua regia digest is the most economical method. This attack is well suited to geochemical exploration although dissolution is only partial for some refractory elements.
The multi acid (4 acids) digestion dissolves the majority of geological matrices. Near of complete dissolution, this method provides excellent quantitative results for most of elements
